What to do when you’ve found a great livery yard

Get a written contract that outlines exactly what you are paying for, your responsibilities, the yard’s responsibilities, and the notice period required by each of you should you wish to terminate the agreement.

Agree a moving in date and confirm if you will be required to assist with preparation for your horse’s arrival.

Check the quarantine arrangements for your horse and this includes questioning if your horse will be allowed turn out in a field during this initial period. If not clarify what other exercise options are available during the quarantine.
